CLASSIC Line|CorATM Surface
CorATM (Corundum-blasted, Acid-etched) allows to achieve a high percentage of bone-to-implant contact (BIC).
CorATM surface is formed as a result of rough sandblasting of the titanium implant with corundum particles (Al2O3 aluminum oxide). Due to this, a macroroughness of the titanium surface is achieved. This is followed by an intensive etching in an acid bath at elevated temperature for several minutes. As a result, the fine 2–4 µm micropits are produced on the rough-blasted surface.
The most important property of the CorATM surface is its resistance to high loads.
The results of the surface analysis of SUNRAN implants, carried out using electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and optical profilometry, have shown that their quality is not inferior to that of the leading world manufacturers.
The porous structure is very well defined. The pores have a diameter of 10-30 μm, the walls and the bottom are cut with small lacunae of 1-3 μm in diameter.
ACTIVE Line|BONIT® Surface
BONIT® is an electrochemical coating technique developed by DOT GmbH which enables the application of a thin, resorbable calcium phosphate layer on dental implants.
BONIT® is a composite of two thin microcrystalline CaP phases that have differing solubility characteristics. The more soluble phase (brushite) promotes short term bone synthesis, whereas the inner phase (microcrystalline hydroxyapatite) is resorbed more slowly and releases ions over a relatively long period. This promotes bone formation. The coordinated bioactivity of these two phases greatly improves the healing process and fosters long-term implant tolerability.
